Help us bring light to those suffering the effects of climate change
Hello Friends!
I’m sure many of you remember when I asked for $50 back in 2008 to help buy a backpack full of solar powered flashlights so that farmers in Namibia could chase elephants away from their crops at night. Little did we know that those donations would help launch a social venture that would be in business for over a decade, distributing over 20,000 solar products and impacting over 120,000 people. See the video below from 2008 to remember how this all started!
Despite this long-term success, Elephant Energy now faces its greatest challenge: a historic drought is slowing sales in Namibia, grant funding for our work has dried up, and individual donations are down. To put it bluntly, my friends need to raise $5,000 of Elephant Energy's $30,000 goal by the end of August to continue our successful programs in Namibia. DONATE HERE if you can help us reach this goal.
Best, Doug
